Hi, I’m Ashley Wright, founder of Pointu Editorial and a proud member of ACES: The Society for Editing.
For more than a decade, I’ve been immersed in the world of words: writing, editing, proofreading, and fine-tuning everything from social media captions to congressional reports.
Pointu Editorial was built on the belief that good editing is more than just catching typos (though I do that, too). It’s about honoring writers’ voices, ensuring clarity, and elevating content.
What I Do
I’ve worked with clients across myriad industries: tech startups, federal agencies, international business management firms, banks, authors, magazines, newspapers, health care organizations, and more. I’ve edited almost every type of content there is. Some examples include:
Web content, news articles, and in-app copy
Books, academic papers, and journal submissions
White papers, FOIA requests, and GSA proposals
Annual reports (including some presented to Congress)
Marketing campaigns, newsletters, and social media copy
Training modules, surveys, SOWs, and PowerPoint decks
As a writer, my work has appeared in Eater, Culture Trip, Richmond Magazine, Daily Kos, Do512, and Brightest Young Things.
Why I Do It
I believe your words matter. I’m genuinely passionate about the Oxford comma. I’ve literally dreamed about the AP Stylebook.
Helping people and brands communicate well, whether it’s through a weekly newsletter or a quarterly report, never stops being rewarding.
I’d love to speak with you about how I can help make your copy stronger, sharper, and more compelling.
Let’s talk.
